THE CHAMPIONS PROJECT
For individuals with intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities, THE CHAMPIONS PROJECT is dedicated to providing a specially crafted and inclusive curriculum for all students of all ability levels ranging in age from 5-18.
Discovering a place where you truly feel a sense of belonging can be a challenging journey. While many youth theatre programs cater effortlessly to typically developing children and young adults, most programs are ill-prepared or hesitant to accommodate those with unique needs.
Our program provides these individuals with a platform to explore and engage in the world of theatre. Through a holistic approach that combines acting, improvisation, storytelling, and stagecraft; participants have the opportunity to develop their artistic skills, express themselves, build confidence, and foster meaningful connections with peers.

THE CHAMPIONS PROJECT provides an all-inclusive program for all students of all ability levels ranging in age from 5-18. They needn’t be verbal, ambulatory or independent in any communication or mobility skills. We can and will merge with existing literacy programs working hand in hand with school and private PT’s, OT’s and SLP’s to incorporate their techniques and goals.
Personal Growth - Participants develop increased confidence and self-expression, in addition to physical and emotional well-being.
Artistic Development - Participants gain skills in acting, improvisation, storytelling, and stagecraft.
Social Skills - Participants enhance social interaction, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication skills.
Personalized Approach - The program recognizes and accommodates the unique needs, interests, and abilities of each participant, providing a personalized and meaningful theatre experience.
Physically - Participants build strength, improve motor control, and enhance coordination.
Cognitively - They exercise their memory, sharpen their focus, and improve their language skills.
Emotionally - Students embark on a transformative journey, discovering their true selves, building resilience, and forming meaningful connections with others.
Through this incredible process, they are not merely students of the performing arts; they are empowered individuals, embarking on a path of self-discovery and growth.
